Luca Mazzarella is a Quantum System Engineer at TNO, focusing on GEO QKD and MDI QKD since February 2022. Previously, Luca served as a JPL Postdoctoral Fellow at NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory from 2019 to 2021, contributing to the Deep Space Quantum Link (DSQL) mission study and collaborating with an international team to define mission goals and requirements. From 2015 to 2019, Luca worked as a Research Associate at the University of Strathclyde, leading efforts on Quantum CubeSat Research (QUARC) to establish a secure communication network across the UK. Luca completed a Ph.D. at the University of Padova, specializing in Quantum Consensus Protocols, and holds a Master's Degree in Theoretical Physics with a focus on Quantum Information from Università degli Studi di Padova, alongside an Erasmus exchange at Københavns Universitet.
