Ethan Lin has worked in the technology industry since 2003. Ethan began their career as an Electronics Engineer at the Academia Sinica Institute of Astronomy and Astrophysics in 2003. In 2008, they joined HTC as a Principal Engineer. In 2012, they became the CEO of Scarlet Tech Co. Ltd. and in 2017, they were promoted to Vice President of TMY Technology Inc.

Ethan Lin obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Materials Science and Engineering from National Chiao Tung University in 2001, having started their studies there in 1997. Ethan then went on to pursue a Master of Arts degree in Electronics Engineering from the same university, which they completed in 2003.
