Ruairi Geary has extensive work experience in the engineering field. Ruairi started their career as a Student Design Engineer at PM Group in 2004, where they worked closely with construction managers and gained experience in project management. Ruairi then moved on to BMD as an Engineer in 2007, where they worked on various construction projects including Wexford Opera House and Kilternan Apart Hotel. Ruairi also worked as a Project Manager on a 3 million Euro expansion project at Elli Lilly in Kinsale.
In 2008, Ruairi joined ESB International as an Overhead Lines Mechanical Design Engineer, where they were involved in detailed design work for overhead power lines and implementation of innovative design practices. Ruairi worked on installations and utilized software such as PLS Cadd, PLS Pole, and RateKit.
In 2013, they joined SaskPower as an Overhead Lines Design Engineer before moving to TLI Group in 2014. At TLI Group, they initially worked as a Senior Design Engineer and later progressed to various leadership roles including Engineering Technical Lead, Engineering Manager, and currently holds the position of Engineering Director. In their current role, Ruairi focuses on growing the design business within the company and aims to complete EPC/Turnkey projects in Ireland and the UK.
