January Overton has over 15 years of experience in sales and account management. January began their career in 2007 as a Senior Account Executive at Time Out Chicago, where they were responsible for prospecting for new clients through cold-calling and direct research, as well as putting together print and online advertising campaigns for local and national accounts. In 2011, they joined Groupon as a Senior Strategic Account Executive for GrouponLive, where they were recognized in the top 5% of Senior Account Executives company wide and consistently met or exceeded monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets. January also identified and developed an ongoing sales relationship with key music industry contacts. In 2018, they became a Customer Success Manager at Rise Buildings, where they acted as an implementation lead for new customer onboarding by establishing critical goals, creating onboarding project plans, and coordinating sales and delivery team efforts. In 2020, they joined Mandolin as a Sales Team Lead for Festivals and Special Events, where they were responsible for helping artists, venues, and fans connect through live music. Finally, in 2022, they joined Tixr as the Director of Sales for Music and Special Attractions.
January Overton obtained a BA in Marketing from Columbia College Chicago. Additionally, they obtained a certification in Managing Teams from LinkedIn in May 2022.
