Giorgio Pighini has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Giorgio currently serves as the Head of Engineering at Titagarh Firema S.p.A., where they have successfully established a new engineering office and manages a team of 24 people. Prior to this, they were the Pole Director at SEGULA Technologies.

Giorgio also has a significant background in the transportation industry, particularly with Bombardier Transportation. During their time there, they held various roles, including Director of Engineering and Chief Engineer. Giorgio was responsible for product development, bid management, and leading engineering teams in multiple locations. Their expertise includes working on locomotive projects such as TRAXX DC3, TRAXX MS3 & DC3, TRAXX MS2E, TRAXX DC2, E464, Re484, and ALP45DP. Giorgio also provided support for legacy fleets in Italy and Spain.

Earlier in their career, Giorgio worked at Finmeccanica SPA, where they served as a Project Leader for road traffic control applications and a Test Engineer and System Engineer for document management systems. Giorgio successfully led the development and commissioning of a system for automatic car parking.

Before transitioning into their engineering roles, Giorgio served in the Italian Army as a Sottotenente di Artiglieria.

Giorgio Pighini earned a Master's degree in Electronic Engineering from Università degli Studi di Genova, from 1982 to 1988. Prior to that, they attended Liceo Scientifico Statale "Orazio Grassi," where they obtained High School/Secondary Diplomas and Certificates from 1977 to 1982.
