Elliot Smolyansky currently serves as the Production Engineering Manager at BioTissue since October 2022, leading a cross-functional technical operations engineering team focused on production equipment, supply chain, product development, tech transfer, and facility expansions. Prior to this role, Elliot held multiple positions at Alcon from January 2015 to October 2022, including Engineering Manager and Maintenance Manager, managing a team of over 100 members in Engineering, Process Optimization, and equipment maintenance in the world’s largest contact lens manufacturing facility. Elliot's experience encompasses managing process engineering teams, overseeing engineering projects, and implementing operational process improvements, as well as serving as a Process Optimization Supervisor and a Novartis Certified Non-conformance Investigator. Earlier roles included working as a Process Engineer at 5Z North America and as a Manufacturing Engineering Intern at SABIC. Elliot earned a B.S. in Manufacturing Engineering with a focus on Engineering Management from Miami University and completed a program on Implementing Industry 4.0 at MIT Sloan School of Management.
