Sven Schildknecht has a strong background in management and strategy consulting, with experience working for prominent companies in the industry. Sven started their career at Spectrum Strategy Consultants, where they were a Senior Associate, focusing on consulting projects in the media, sports, telecommunications, and private equity sectors. Sven also played a key role in the re-launch of a major European online sports portal as an interim Chief Technology Officer.
After their time at Spectrum Strategy Consultants, Sven worked at McKinsey and Company, Inc as a Senior Associate in the TIME sector. Sven was responsible for executing consulting projects for blue-chip clients in the internet, TV, computer game, and telecommunications industries. One of their notable achievements was reducing field service costs by 50% for a cable network operator while maintaining quality and service levels.
Following their tenure at McKinsey, Sven served as the Managing Director of the German subsidiary of Guidion, an IT field service provider. During this time, they oversaw a turnover of €500,000 per year and managed a team of 15 employees and 250 franchisees.
After leaving Guidion, Sven joined Deutsche Telekom AG, where they held two roles. First, as the Vice President of Group Business Development & Corporate Venturing from 2011 to 2015, they played a critical role in shaping the company's strategic direction and identifying growth opportunities. Prior to that, they served as a Senior Manager in Group Strategy from 2009 to 2010, contributing to the company's overall strategic planning.
In 2015, Sven embarked on a new venture as an Interim Manager and Consultant, specializing in growth-stage internet companies, particularly in the B2C media sector. Sven also offered consulting services to established companies undergoing digital transformation.
Additionally, Sven served as an Advisory Board Member at Lumia Capital, where they provided guidance for global expansion to the firm's portfolio companies. Sven held this position from 2015 until 2021.
Most recently, Sven joined Tipico Co. Ltd in 2017 as the Head of Program Management and Product & Technology Portfolio Management. In this role, they led the program management office to implement a value creation program after the company was acquired by private equity fund CVC. Sven also took on the responsibility of leading the Portfolio Management function, supporting agile software development at scale for the company's 200+ product development and technology unit.
Sven Schildknecht attended the University of Cologne from 1993 to 1999, where they obtained a Master's degree in Business Administration and Computer Science, specifically in the field of Business Administration and Computer Science.
