Becca Spence Dobias has been working in the field of journalism since 2021 as a Freelance Journalist for Redlands Community News. Prior to this, they were a Co-Founder and Project Director at Writing Bloc from 2018 to 2021. From 2016 to 2018, they were a Leader at Tinkergarten. Becca was also the Owner and Doula at Conscious Continuations Doula Services from 2014 to 2016, a Client Service Associate at LF Leadership from 2014 to 2016, a Coordinator of Undergraduate Research in the Community at the University of California, Riverside from 2011 to 2014, a Work Study Student at Claremont Graduate University from 2009 to 2011, an Americorps VISTA at Riverside Unified School District/Youth Service California from 2008 to 2009, and a Work Study Community Scholar at Guilford College from 2004 to 2005. Additionally, they were an Intern at the American Civil Liberties Union of Maryland in 2005.

Becca Spence Dobias received their M.A. in Applied Women's Studies from Claremont Graduate University between 2009 and 2011. Becca also received their BA in Political Science from Guilford College between 2004 and 2008.
