Long Tran has a wide range of work experience, starting with their current role as CEO and Co-founder of Tinai since June 2021. Prior to this, they worked as a Machine Learning Engineer at TikTok from March 2020 to June 2021 and at Quora from August 2019 to March 2020. Long also completed an internship as a Machine Learning Engineer at Groupon from June 2018 to September 2018. Before transitioning into the engineering field, Long worked as an Associate at AB Bernstein from June 2015 to July 2017. Long gained further experience through a summer internship at NERA Economic Consulting in 2014 and as a Research Assistant at the Institute for Social and Economic Research and Policy from May 2013 to May 2014. Long also interned as a Geoeconomics Intern at the Council on Foreign Relations from September 2013 to December 2013 and as a Research Intern at Common Cause from August 2012 to May 2013.

Long Tran began their education at Berkshire School from 2009 to 2011. Long then went on to attend Columbia University from 2011 to 2015, where they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Statistics & Economics-Political Science. During their time at Columbia, they were recognized for their outstanding academic achievements as a member of Phi Beta Kappa and graduating Summa Cum Laude. Long Tran continued their education at Stanford University from 2017 to 2019, where they obtained a Master of Science degree in Statistics.
