Lauren Norris-Heflin has a diverse work experience in the environmental sector. Lauren is currently working at Timmons Group as an Environmental Project Manager since October 2020. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Environmental Scientist at the same company from May 2019 to October 2020. Lauren also served as a Natural Resources Specialist at GEI Consultants, Inc. from June 2018 to May 2019.

Lauren gained extensive experience as an Environmental Project Manager at Tower Engineering Professionals from July 2013 to June 2018. Their responsibilities included conducting environmental site assessments, completing compliance checklists, and performing biological assessments for proposed telecommunications tower projects. Lauren also conducted surveys for rare, threatened, and endangered species and delineated wetlands and streams. Lauren collaborated with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers on jurisdictional determinations and nationwide permit compliance.

In 2013, Lauren interned at William B. Umstead State Park and gained valuable experience. Lauren also worked as a server at zpizza International from August 2012 to June 2013. Additionally, Lauren served as a Lab Assistant at N.C. State University's Tree Physiology Lab, where they contributed to research projects on biomass production and canopy closure from April 2011 to September 2012.

Lauren's work experience also includes an internship at Piedmont Wildlife Center from May 2012 to August 2012.

Lauren Norris-Heflin pursued their Bachelor of Science degree in Natural Resources - Ecosystem Assessment from North Carolina State University. Lauren attended the university from 2008 to 2013.
