Jesse Israel has a diverse work experience that spans various industries and roles. Starting in 2002, they worked for GeoTechnologies, Inc. as a Field & Lab Technician for a decade, before joining Fullsteam Brewery as a Production Assistant in 2012. In 2013, Jesse became an Engineering Consultant for their own business as a self-employed individual, as well as a Contract Engineer for GeoTechnologies, Inc. Later in 2014, they joined Oowee Products as a Production Engineer. Their most recent position is at Timmons Group, where they hold the role of Geotechnical Project Manager since 2016.

Jesse Israel attended North Carolina State University from 2006 to 2012, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biological Engineering. In addition to their degree, Jesse also earned several certifications throughout their education. In 2006, they received the NIMS ICS certification from FEMA. In 2007, Jesse obtained the HAZMAT OPS+ certification from the State of North Carolina Fire and Rescue Commission. In 2010, they became a certified Rescue Diver through NAUI. In 2011, Jesse earned the EMT-B certification from the North Carolina Office of EMS. Lastly, in 2012, they became an Engineering Intern recognized by the North Carolina Board of Examiners for Engineers and Surveyors.
