Alston Willard, EIT has a diverse work experience in various engineering and construction roles. Alston began their career as a Structure Intern at Red Beard Construction in 2016. In 2018, they worked as a Planning and Economics Engineering Intern at Louis Berger. The following year, they joined Ward Consulting Engineers as an Engineering Intern. During this time, they gained valuable experience in the engineering field. In 2019, Alston joined Timmons Group as a Stormwater Intern, where they gained experience in flood studies, pipe network analysis, and stream restoration data processing. Alston later transitioned to the role of Project Engineer 1 and eventually Project Engineer ll at Timmons Group. Throughout their career, Alston has also worked at North Carolina State University as a Strength and Conditioning Assistant, Research Assistant, and Lab Assistant. With their diverse experience and engineering background, Alston has developed a strong skill set and valuable industry knowledge.
Alston Willard, EIT, completed their Bachelor's degree in Biological and Agricultural Engineering with a Concentration in Ecological Engineering at North Carolina State University from 2015 to 2020. In addition to their degree, Alston obtained several certifications. They became a Qualified Stormwater Inspector through the American Stormwater Institute, LLC in March 2021. Alston also obtained the Stormwater SCM Inspection and Maintenance Professional certification from North Carolina State University in November 2020. They further received the Confined Space Entry Authorized Entrant certification from Timmons Group in August 2020. Alston continued their professional development by obtaining various certifications from the Resource Institute Inc., including Rosgen Level 1 in November 2022, Rosgen Level 2 in March 2023, and Rosgen Level 3 in March 2023.
