Michael Walters is an experienced executive in the payments and financial services industry, currently serving as the Founder and CEO of Tikpay since March 2023, and a member of the Financial Market Infrastructure Committee at Bank Negara Malaysia since June 2021. With a background in consultancy, Michael provides advisory services in payments to various sectors, including finance, retail, and government. Previously, Michael held board positions at companies such as Monoova and Payments Network Malaysia, contributing to payment solutions and systems. Michael also founded and led littlepay and has served on multiple advisory and non-executive boards, enhancing operational efficiency and strategic positioning in the payments landscape. Michael holds a Bachelor of Commerce from The Australian National University and a NSW Higher School Certificate from Port Macquarie High School.
