Marianna Fico

Doctoral Student at Tigem

Marianna Fico is currently a Doctoral Student and Intern at Tigem since March 2020, following a role as a Master Thesis Student at the Institute of Genetics and Biophysics, IGB - CNR from March 2018 to October 2019. The master thesis project focused on the generation of induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) to investigate molecular mechanisms related to giant cell tumor and Paget’s disease of bone. Marianna possesses extensive experience in cell cultures, molecular and cellular biology techniques, nucleic acid extraction, PCR, protein analysis, immunofluorescence, CRISPR/Cas9 engineering, bioinformatics, and Next Generation Sequencing analysis. Academic credentials include a Master’s Degree in Biology with a major in Molecular Biology from Università degli Studi di Napoli Federico II, and a Bachelor's Degree in General and Applied Biology, also from the same university. Marianna's education began with a Diploma from Istituto Salesiano "Sacro Cuore di Maria" in Caserta.
