Teemu Haanperä has extensive work experience in the field of information technology. Teemu started their career as a Warehouse Worker at Etra Oy from May 2012 to April 2014. Teemu then worked as an IT Consultant at HAMK (Häme University of Applied Sciences) from January 2015 to June 2015, where they were responsible for managing the school's network, physical wiring, and assisting students with their IT problems. Teemu joined Janakkalan kunta as an ICT Support Engineer in February 2017, providing technical support until September 2017. Teemu then worked at Sarastia Oy as an ICT Specialist from December 2018 to December 2019. Currently, Teemu is an Information Technology Specialist at Kuntien Tiera Oy since December 2019.

Teemu Haanperä obtained their Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) degree in Computer Systems Networking and Telecommunications from Häme University of Applied Sciences, HAMK, where they studied from 2010 to 2015. In addition to their degree, Teemu Haanperä has obtained several certifications from Microsoft. These certifications include Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals obtained in February 2023, Microsoft 365 Certified: Fundamentals obtained in July 2022, and Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals obtained in March 2022.
