Kai Pousi has a diverse work experience spanning over 28 years. Kai currently holds the position of Business Director, Smart City Solutions at Kuntien Tiera Oy since September 2021. Prior to this role, they worked as a Business Manager in the Smart City Solutions and Infrastructure Solutions divisions of the same company from June 2019 to September 2021.

From January 2021, they have also served as a Member of the ICT committee at Turku chamber of commerce.

Earlier in their career, Kai Pousi worked at Fujitsu Finland for several roles, including Head of Cloud, Data and Infrastructure Security Services, Senior Business Development Manager, and Senior Development Manager. In these positions, they were involved in concept creation, presales activities, and development of digitalization projects, big data, IoT devices and platforms, and indoor positioning systems. Kai also had the responsibility of leading the renewal program of Fujitsu ICT outsourcing service model and managing outsourced ICT services for customers. Their tenure at Fujitsu Finland lasted from December 2006 to May 2019.

Prior to joining Fujitsu, Kai Pousi worked at Nokia in various roles such as Platforms Portfolio Manager, Program Manager, Business HR Manager, Human Resource Development Manager, Senior Engineering Manager, SW Project Manager, and Software Engineer. These positions involved responsibilities in HR and HRD activities, technology-related solutions, line management, budgeting, and project resource planning. Kai was part of the R&D center management group at Nokia. Their association with Nokia started in 1993 and lasted until May 2006.

Kai Pousi has a diverse educational background with a focus on computer software engineering and cyber security. In 1987, they started their education at Turku University of Applied Sciences and successfully obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in an unspecified field of study in 1991.

In 2017, Kai pursued further specialization in the field of cyber security by enrolling in the Cyber Security Specialization Studies program at Turku University of Applied Sciences. Kai completed this program in 2018.

Kai's most recent educational endeavor was in the field of computer software engineering. From 2021 to 2022, they attended Turku University of Applied Sciences and obtained a Master of Engineering (MEng) degree, with a specific focus on computer software engineering.

Additionally, in 2019, Kai acquired a certification in ITIL 4 Foundation Level from Wakaru Oy.
