John Finazzo

Mapping Team Lead - DevOps at TIE Kinetix

John Finazzo has had a long and varied career in software engineering. John began their career in 2006 at SPS Commerce, where they held three positions over the course of five years. John started as an Application Engineer, developing standards of practice, coding, database creation and maintenance, testing and implementation to production systems. John was proficient in Java, Perl, XML, XSLT and HTML, and had an understanding of many EDI transactions. John then moved into a Quality Assurance Analyst role, where they tested to ensure all new code releases and hot fixes for all products were user friendly and created no errors. John also served as a Senior Customer Support Representative, providing advanced technical support for a variety of issues on multiple products, creating troubleshooting documentation, and training many employees across the company. In 2011, John moved to Apex Print Technologies, where they served as an Application Engineer, responsible for data flowing through all systems, including the design, quality assurance, systems maintenance, and indentifying as well as resolving issues in any of the stages. John also maintained scripts to translate customer data, which required ability to read and code Perl and XML, as well as created design layouts and logic in an object oriented program to control how the end product looks. In 2013, John joined TIE Kinetix as a Senior SaaS Integration Consultant, leading a team focused on data mapping and standardization. John was responsible for defining and documenting the processes and best practices for this team, training other team members on tools and processes, and working with senior members of other teams to determine the best way to implement the work the team produces into the larger solution. John also maintained internal data standards used for mapping, worked on advanced maps, and was one of the key people leading a migration off of legacy products.

John Finazzo attended North Hennepin Community College from 2012 to 2019, where they earned an Associate's degree in Computer Science.
