Sherif Ahmed has extensive experience as a chief engineer in various companies. sherif started their career at Halul Offshore Services Company in 2005 and then moved on to Misr Edco in 2009, where they worked on a bulk carrier, ensuring routine maintenance and the ship's readiness. In 2010, they joined Napesco as a chief engineer, and in 2012, they joined Tidewater Marine for the same role.

Sherif Ahmed completed their education in 1993, starting at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology, and Maritime Transport. During this time, they earned a Certificate of Chief Engineer Competency in the field of study known as 2nd engineer certification. Concurrently, they also attended the Arab Maritime Transport Academy, where they obtained a degree in Chief Engineering. The specific field of study for this degree is not provided.
