Lakshitha Ruwan Fernando has over 9 years of experience in the field of software engineering. Currently, they are working as a Software Engineer at Tic:Toc since January 2022. Prior to that, Lakshitha served as a Senior Lead Software Engineer at IFS from August 2021 to January 2022. Before joining IFS, they worked as a Technical Lead at Camms from July 2020 to August 2021. From January 2019 to May 2020, Lakshitha held the position of Associate Tech Lead at Aeturnum. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Aeturnum from September 2014 to December 2017. Lakshitha began their career as a Software Engineer at Bileeta (Pvt) Ltd from July 2013 to August 2014 and later joined Scienter Technologies (Pte) Ltd as a Software Engineer from October 2012 to June 2013.

Lakshitha Ruwan Fernando began their education at S.De.S Jayasinghe College in Dehiwala from 1994 to 1998. Lakshitha Ruwan then attended Lumbini College from 1998 to 2007, where the degree name and field of study are unknown. From 2009 to 2012, they studied Information Technology at the University of Colombo, earning a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology. In July 2019, Lakshitha obtained the certification Exam 483: Programming in C# from Microsoft.
