Kit Olsen has worked in a variety of roles since 2012. From 2012-2014, they worked as a 2D Art Generalist and Designer at Dunnamic. During this time, they designed 2D layouts for both animation and motion graphics, designed and built character, prop, and background assets for 2D animation, and created turnarounds and expressions for character animation. From 2014-2018, they worked as an Assistant Language Teacher at the Japan Exchange and Teaching Program(me) (JET). During this time, they facilitated cross-cultural learning and communication, planned English lessons and student activities, and designed and developed learning materials. From 2018-2019, they worked as a Gallery Assistant/Graphic Designer at Principle Gallery. During this time, they created and laid out graphic design for event flyers and ads, edited photographs of artwork to match original painting, and maintained daily services at the gallery, such as sales, email correspondences with clients, and social media posts. Since 2019, they have been working as an Associate Art Director/Lead Illustrator and 2D Generalist at Tic Toc Games. During this time, they have reviewed background designs, 2D games assets and UI/UX interface, overseen the delegation and art direction of tasks, and designed and created key background, prop and character assets.
Kit Olsen attended Moore College of Art and Design from 2008 to 2012, where they earned a BFA in Illustration. In 2017, they attended Vancouver Film School and obtained a Diploma in Animation Concept Art in 2018.
