Gibson Villanueva is an experienced telecommunications professional with a strong background in sales and business development across the Asia Pacific region. Currently serving as Regional Manager at Thuraya Telecommunications Company since January 2020, Gibson has previously held roles at Inmarsat, where responsibilities included managing business development for the fishing and offshore sectors, and at Thuraya, focusing on key service partner accounts. Initial roles included consulting for Smart Communications, where new maritime businesses were developed, and leadership positions at SCOTTY Group Austria overseeing operations and marketing in Asia Pacific. Gibson began the career as a Senior Sales Engineer at Nera Telecommunications, handling satellite communications sales and support. Gibson holds a Bachelor of Science in Electronics and Communications Engineering from Mapúa University.
