Jeff Schmitz is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in software development, particularly in the areas of machine learning and application design. Currently serving as a Staff Software Engineer at Thumbtack since June 2021, Jeff previously worked at Amazon for seven years, where responsibilities included building machine learning pipelines for music recommendations and playing a key role in the launch of the Prime Music Stations app for Kindle Fire devices. Jeff's career also includes contributions at Mentor Graphics, where features for a project management web application were developed, and an internship at Garmin International, focused on enhancing flight navigator software. Jeff holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Oregon State University, earned in 2012.
