Tom Duffey has a diverse range of work experience in the field of network engineering and IT support. Tom started their career in 2003 as a Third Key/PC Repair Technician at Sliconsulting, where they set up new machines, resolved client issues, and removed malware from computers. Tom then worked as a Computer Repair Technician at Fry's Electronics, troubleshooting problems and replacing defective components. In 2007, Tom joined Geek Squad as a Geek Squad Agent, providing technical expertise to clients, removing malware, and assisting the sales team.

In 2011, Tom transitioned to the United States Marine Corps, serving in various roles, including Cyber Network Operator - Network Engineer and Senior Network Engineer. During their time in the Marine Corps, Tom designed LAN networks, planned and maintained tactical networks, and implemented new technologies. Tom also configured and managed hub sites for multiple operations.

After leaving the military, Tom worked as a Senior IT Engineer at Parity Consultants LLC, where they designed and maintained networking solutions for 120 different companies and configured FortiGate firewalls with SSLVPN capabilities.

Currently, Tom is working at ThreatWarrior as a Network Specialist and Customer Support Engineer, utilizing their skills and expertise in network engineering to support the company's clients.

Tom Duffey earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from The University of Texas at Arlington from 2016 to 2020. In addition to their degree, they also obtained several certifications. In December 2012, they obtained a CompTIA Network+ ce certification from CompTIA. In May 2015, they obtained the Cisco Certified Entry Networking Technician certification from Cisco. In February 2016, they obtained the Cisco Certified Network Associate Routing and Switching certification from Cisco. In May 2019, they obtained the Cisco Certified Network Associate Cyber Ops (CCNA) certification from Cisco. Lastly, in July 2021, they obtained the CompTIA Security+ ce Certification from CompTIA.
