Mert Kurt began working as an IT Technician for Microtime Computers, Inc/Dental IT Solutions in 2021. Mert then became a Computer Security Specialist for the same company. In 2022, they moved to ThreatLocker, where they currently work as a Solutions Engineer.

Mert Kurt is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Applied Science - BASc at George Mason University. Prior to this, they obtained an Associate's degree in Information Technology from Northern Virginia Community College between 2019 and 2021. Before that, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Exercise Physiology from Marmara University between 2013 and 2017. In addition to their formal education, Mert Kurt has obtained several certifications, including Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals from Microsoft (2022), AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner from Amazon Web Services (AWS) (2022), CompTIA CySA+ ce Certification from CompTIA (2022), CompTIA Security Analytics Professional – CSAP Stackable Certification from CompTIA (2022), CompTIA Security+ ce Certification from CompTIA (2020), CompTIA Linux+ from CompTIA (2021), CompTIA Linux+ ce Certification from CompTIA (2021), and CYBER HERO 2022 from ThreatLocker (2022).
