Matt Catalano has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Matt is currently working at Thoropass as the Senior Director of Sales, where they oversee sales operations. Prior to that, they served as the Director of Growth at the same company, being responsible for building the sales and marketing functions.
Matt has also been a Member at Revenue Collective, starting in October 2020, where they collaborate with other professionals in the industry to share knowledge and insights.
In 2013, Matt started their own law practice, Catalano Law & Counsel, PLLC, where they provided legal services to early and growth stage businesses. Matt handled drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various legal documents for their clients.
Matt co-founded CloudVAE in 2019, a software company that aimed to transition a custom software development project into a SaaS business. Unfortunately, the company did not launch.
From 2017 to 2019, Matt served as the VP of Revenue at Conexlink (MyCloudIT), a technology company.
Matt also held multiple roles at Axial, starting as a Sales Representative in 2013 and eventually becoming the Director and Head of Member Acquisition. Matt oversaw all supply-side operations and managed a team of 15+ employees.
In 2012, Matt co-founded SoundScope, Inc., a musician discovery and data analytics tool. Matt raised seed funding, led go-to-market strategies, and product development.
Before their entrepreneurial ventures, Matt gained experience at the US Securities and Exchange Commission as a Trading and Markets Associate, as well as World Class Capital Group as a Summer Analyst. Matt also worked as a Law Clerk for Judge Carl Ginsberg at the Dallas County 193rd Civil District Court.
Matt Catalano has a diverse education history. Matt earned their Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Finance and Economics from Texas A&M University, where they studied from 2005 to 2009. During their time at Texas A&M, they also participated in a General Course at The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), specializing in Government and Economics, from 2006 to 2007. Following their undergraduate studies, Matt Catalano attended Duke University School of Law from 2009 to 2012, where they obtained their Doctor of Law (J.D.) degree. In January 2013, they were admitted to the New York State Bar by the New York State Unified Court System.
