Sylas Souza is an accomplished Principal UX Designer currently leading the Accounting & Tax AI team at Thomson Reuters since November 2024. Prior experience includes serving as Staff Product Designer at Trustt, Head of UX for Global Accounts, Investments, and Crypto at Nubank, and various leadership roles at Amazon, including Head of Design Systems and Principal UX Designer for International Seller Services. Sylas has a strong background in UX strategy, design systems, and product design across major companies such as Target, Walmart Labs, and Provident Metals. Additionally, Sylas has contributed to academia as an adjunct instructor at the University of Minnesota. Educational credentials include a Master of Science in Design Thinking & Innovation from John Brown University and a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology from Brigham Young University - Idaho.
