Carolina Henriquez-Schmitz

Carolina Henriquez-Schmitz is an experienced legal professional currently serving as the Director of TrustLaw at the Thomson Reuters Foundation since April 2020. Prior to this role, Carolina held the position of Executive Director at the Grunin Center for Law and Social Entrepreneurship at New York University School of Law from May 2018 to April 2020. Carolina has extensive experience with Thomson Reuters Foundation, having worked as the Regional Lead and Legal Manager for the Americas from June 2014 to June 2018, and as a Pro Bono Expert at the Center for Human Rights - American Bar Association for a brief period in 2014. Carolina's background includes a Senior Associate role at Debevoise & Plimpton and a Law Fellow position at International Development Partners in Zambia. Early career experiences include legal internships at The World Bank and Baker & McKenzie. Carolina holds an LL.M. in International Law and Development from Harvard Law School and a Law degree with a focus on International Law and Finance from UCAB - Universidad Católica Andrés Bello.
