As group leader of the national Real Estate Practice Group for over 17 years, Tom concentrates his practice on the representation of commercial real estate owners, investors, lenders, developers and end users, including corporate and institutional real estate, on planning, development, acquisition, leasing, financing and dispositions.
Tom has handled billions of dollars in commercial transactions across the U.S. and in many foreign jurisdictions. In addition to his practice, he is engaged in advancing the legal profession and the community. He currently serves as Vice Chair of the Downtown Cleveland Improvement Corporation and Chair of the Real Estate Committee of the U.S. Law Firm Group, and is former Chair of both Family Transitional Housing, Inc. and Cleveland Neighborhood Progress Inc. A Fellow of the American College of Real Estate Attorneys, Tom has spoken and written extensively on commercial real estate topics, and he is the primary author of the Ohio Section of the Chambers Global Practice Guide, USA Regional Real Estate.
