Oliver Yao has extensive work experience in the field of emergency management and disaster response. Oliver has held various leadership roles in different companies, including Thompson Consulting Services, Tetra Tech EM Inc., Orange County Public Schools, Leidos, SAIC, BDR, Inc, and Rollins College. Their most recent position was as Vice President at Thompson Consulting Services. Prior to that, they served as the Practice Manager for Response and Recovery at Tetra Tech EM Inc. and as an Administrator in Emergency Management and Business Continuity at Orange County Public Schools. Oliver also has significant experience as a Deputy Director of Operations in different companies, where they were responsible for program management, project oversight, health and safety management, staffing, training, and financial management. Oliver has expertise in project data management, quality assurance and control, reporting, and financial analysis. Oliver's career spans over 20 years, starting with a role as a Help Desk Systems Analyst at Rollins College.

Oliver Yao obtained their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Economics from the Crummer Graduate School of Business at Rollins College, which they attended from 2003 to 2006. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Economics from Rollins College, where they studied from 2000 to 2003. In terms of additional certifications, Yao has obtained the Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Program certification from FEMA in March 2010. Oliver also completed the Emergency Management Institute's Professional Development Series, the G-300 course on Intermediate Incident Command System for Expanding Incidents, and the G-400 course on Advanced Incident Command System Command & General Staff: Complex Incidents, all from FEMA. In addition, Yao has the HAZWOPER 40 Hour certification from OSHA and the Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification from ELECTRONIC TRAINING SOLUTIONS, INC.
