Laura Schlichting is an experienced educator and administrator with a strong background in early childhood education. Currently serving as the Assistant Head of Lower School and a faculty member at Thomas MacLaren School since August 2018, Laura was a founding member of the institution and played a key role in developing the Kindergarten Program, followed by serving as Lead Teacher from 2020 to 2022. Prior to this role, Laura held positions as a Preschool Teacher at Little L School, where curriculum development and community involvement were key responsibilities, and as a Social Media Coordinator at Leven Rose, focusing on content creation and management. Additional experience includes internships involving research, social media, and event coordination, along with prior childcare responsibilities as a nanny. Laura holds a Bachelor of Arts in Organizational and Strategic Communications from the University of Colorado Colorado Springs and an Associate of Arts in General Studies from Pikes Peak State College.
