Habiba Hussein is a seasoned professional in public policy and finance, currently serving as a Senior Public Policy Specialist at Thndr since August 2022. Prior to this role, Habiba worked at the Central Bank of Egypt from October 2017 to August 2022 as a Banking Reform Specialist, contributing to the development of SMEs and sustainable finance in Egypt. Earlier experiences include an internship in the Investment Banking Department at CI Capital Holding in June 2016, where Habiba was involved in M&A transactions and conducted research using Bloomberg Terminal and Capital IQ. Additional internship experience includes a role at EY in 2015, focusing on the review of financial statements. Habiba holds a Master of Science (MSc) in Finance and Development from SOAS University of London and is currently pursuing a certificate from the Leadership & Diversity Program for Regulators at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford.
