Philippa Walden has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Philippa is currently working at This Works as a Finance Manager since April 2020. Previously, they worked at Société des Mines de Fer de Guinée (SMFG) for seven years, starting as an Assistant Accountant in June 2012 and ending in July 2019. At SMFG, their responsibilities included overseeing the Accounts Payable function, completing monthly analysis and drafting reports for the CFO, and ensuring timely bank transactions postings and reconciliations.
Before SMFG, Philippa worked at Rio Tinto Iron Ore Atlantic Ltd as an Accounts Payable Supervisor and Accounts Assistant from November 2010 to June 2012. Prior to that, they were an Accounts Assistant at Altium Capital from March 2009 to November 2010. Philippa also had a brief stint as an Accounts Assistant at Rio Tinto Iron Ore Atlantic Ltd from November 2008 to March 2009 and at Colebrook Bosson Saunders from November 2006 to July 2008.
Additionally, Philippa gained temporary experience at REED in October 2006 as a Temporary Staff before working as a Receptionist at Romfords Function Centre from February 2006 to May 2006. Philippa started their professional career as a Chorus member at New Zealand Opera from January 2005 to May 2006. Philippa Walden completed their high school education at Nga Tawa School from 1996 to 2000, where they obtained their High School degree with a focus on Bursary. Continuing their education, from 2001 to 2005, they attended The University of Auckland, where they achieved an MMus (1st Class Hons) degree with a specialization in Voice. In terms of additional certifications, Philippa acquired an Emergency First Aid at Work (In-House) certification from Tutorcare Ltd in March 2017 and completed a First Aid Annual Refresher Course through Tutorcare Ltd in March 2016.
