Gregg Sando is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in biotechnology and finance. Currently serving as Chair at Bastion Therapeutics since September 2023, Sando focuses on developing regulatory T cell immunotherapy for inflammatory disorders and autoimmune diseases. As a member of the Board of Directors at ThinkSono since August 2019, Sando contributes to advancements in artificial intelligence for ultrasound imaging analysis. Sando previously founded Cell Medica in 2006, leading it as Chief Executive Officer and Board Director, where successful clinical trials for T cell therapies were achieved. In finance, Sando held key positions at Deutsche Bank and UBS as Global Head of Financial Institutions Group, managing investment banking services and advising on substantial M&A transactions. Sando's earlier roles include serving as Executive Director at Morgan Stanley and Director at Merrill Lynch, with a strong background in capital markets and advisory services. Sando holds a Bachelor of Arts in Biochemistry from Harvard University, a Master of Science in Immunology from Imperial College London, and an MBA in Finance and Accounting from the University of Chicago.
