Morteza Mirzaei has been working in the field of robotics since 2021, when they began working as a Robotics Engineer for THINK Surgical. Prior to that, they were a PHD Student at Concordia University from 2017-2021, and a Researcher at Qatar University from 2015-2017.

Morteza Mirzaei completed a Bachelor's degree in Control Engineering from the University of Tabriz between 2009 and 2013. Morteza then went on to earn a Master of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Amirkabir University of Technology - Tehran Polytechnic between 2013 and 2015. Most recently, Morteza Mirzaei earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Medical Image processing, Ultrasound Imaging, and Elastography from Concordia University between 2017 and 2021.
