Joona Pöyhiä is an R&D Engineer at The Switch since September 2018, specializing in embedded software and controls development for high power frequency converters. Prior to this role, Joona served as a Master's Thesis Worker, focusing on a communication network for control and synchronization in multilevel inverters. Joona gained initial industry experience as a Design Engineer Trainee at The Switch from May 2017 to December 2017, where embedded software was developed for a Xilinx Zynq-7000 SoC. Joona holds a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Electrical Engineering from LUT University, completed in 2019, and attended Technische Universität Graz in 2018. Education was completed at Lauritsalan Lukio, graduating from high school in 2012.
