Yannick Buser is a Senior Research Associate at the ThermoPlastic Composites Application Center (TPAC) since June 2024, following a PhD role at the ThermoPlastic Composites Research Center (TPRC) from September 2017 to March 2024, focusing on numerical prediction of heat generation during induction welding of unidirectional thermoplastic composites. Prior experience includes roles as a Research Engineer and Graduate Student, culminating in a master's thesis on the rheology of unidirectional thermoplastic composite flakes, and an internship on the feasibility of Advanced Fibre Placement. Previously, Yannick served as an ice and inline skating trainer and Teaching Assistant at the University of Twente, where responsibilities included mentoring and assisting in mechanical engineering courses. Education includes an Ingenieur degree in Mechanical Engineering - Production Technology and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Twente, along with early education at Veenlanden College.
