Troy Vackar has held various roles throughout their work experience. Troy began their career at Silicon Laboratories, where they worked as an MCU Systems Validation Engineer and later as an MCU Product/Test Engineer. During their time there, they led projects, developed test programs, and redesigned frameworks to support various technologies.
Troy then moved on to work at Tolteq, where they were a Firmware Engineer and later became the Firmware & Electrical Engineering Manager. In this role, they implemented new features, addressed customer issues, and proposed a new code development structure.
After that, they joined Ambiq Micro as the Manager of Applications Engineering. Troy led a global team and worked on designing modular wearables platforms and reducing costs for evaluation boards. Troy also traveled to support high-profile customers in China and Taiwan.
Next, Vackar founded PATH-7 Embedded Systems, a contract engineering company specializing in embedded solutions for the automotive industry. Troy led product development from concept to market, focusing on time-to-market efficiency and productization.
Currently, Vackar works at Thermon, Inc. as the Director of Research & Development. Prior to this role, they served as the R&D Manager for the Controls Group. In these positions, they have been responsible for product development, specifically in controls and communications for industrial process heating and freeze protection.
