Nejat K. Egilmez is the co-founder of Therapyx, Inc. and serves as the company’s Executive Vice President. Dr. Egilmez received his Ph.D. degree from the Department of Cell and Molecular Biology of The State University of New York at Buffalo. He is currently Professor and Chair of the Department of Microbiology and Immunology in the School of Medicine at University of Louisville. Dr. Egilmez’s academic research interests include immune regulation and therapy in cancer and inflammatory diseases. His laboratory pioneered the use of sustained-release nano/microparticulate protein formulations for cancer and inflammatory/infectious disease therapy. Dr. Egilmez directs the company’s research and business efforts.
