Gianluca De Santis has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Gianluca has held various roles in different companies. Their most recent position was as the Chief Digital Officer at °Õ³óé±ô¾±´Ç²õ since September 2017. Before that, they worked at Luxottica as a Senior E-Commerce Manager in Greater China, where they oversaw the direct-to-consumer e-commerce business for Luxottica's house brands. Gianluca also had previous roles at Luxottica as a Direct E-commerce Manager and E-commerce Manager for Ray-Ban in China and as a Global E-commerce Product & Merchandising Specialist for Ray-Ban. Prior to joining Luxottica, Gianluca worked as an Assistant Brand Manager at Procter & Gamble and as an In-company Trainee at Vodafone Italy. Gianluca also had an internship at Electraline China Co., Ltd. Gianluca's earliest work experience was as a member of the Undergraduate Guidance Team at Università Commerciale 'Luigi Bocconi'.

Gianluca De Santis earned a Design Thinking for Business Innovation degree from Esade in 2020. Prior to that, they obtained a Master's Degree in International Management from Università Bocconi in 2011, with a study abroad experience at Fudan University in 2010. Before their master's studies, they completed a Bachelor's Degree in Management from Università Bocconi in 2009, along with an exchange program at Singapore Management University in 2008. Gianluca's educational journey began at Liceo Classico Statale A. Pansini, where they received a Maturita' Classica, focusing on literature, ancient languages (Latin and ancient Greek), philosophy, mathematics, and physics. Gianluca also holds additional certifications in IELTS - Academic (8.0) and ECDL - European Computer Driving License.
