Richard Bean has a wide range of experience in product design, branding, and audio engineering. Richard began their career in 2010 as an Audio Intern at NoiseFloor. Richard then moved to Revolution 9 in 2011, where they served as the Music Licensing Head of A&R. In 2011, they also began working at Apple, first as a Genius, then as a Family Room Specialist. From 2014 to 2021, Richard worked at various companies, including CSG International, IBM, Remine, MartianCraft, and theCut. At CSG International, they were a UI/UX Designer I, and at IBM, they were a UI/UX Designer for the Apple + IBM Partnership. At Remine, they were a Senior Product Designer, and at MartianCraft, they were a Senior UI/UX Designer. At theCut, they have held two roles: Head of Design and Creative Director. In each of these roles, they have been responsible for product design, branding, and other tasks such as creating high fidelity prototypes, designing emails, and obtaining grant funding.
Richard Bean began their educational journey at Bishop McNamara High School, graduating in 2006. Richard then attended the Savannah College of Art and Design, earning a BFA in Sound Design in 2010. In 2016, they obtained an IBM Design Thinking Practitioner certification from IBM and in 2018, they obtained a UX Certificate from the Nielsen Norman Group.
