Sharon Chang has a diverse work experience in various roles. Currently, they are working as an Audio & Speech Operations Engineer at Theatro since August 2021. Prior to this, they worked as a Mandarin Chinese Tutor at Indiana University Chinese Flagship Center from August 2019 to May 2020. In this role, they corrected pronunciation, provided listening exams, and identified grammatical problems for Chinese learners.
Sharon also worked as an Editorial Intern at VoiceTube from May 2019 to July 2019. Here, they developed a Knowledge-Based English Grammar Parser, edited English learning materials, answered students' questions on grammar, produced pronunciation audio recordings, and wrote English articles for student reading tests.
Furthermore, they have experience as a Commercial Intern at Shopee from June 2018 to February 2019, and as an International Sales Assistant at Winkey Electric Co., Ltd. from July 2016 to April 2018. In these roles, they were involved in tasks such as interpreting, translating service manuals, coordinating technical support, and reporting product malfunctions.
Lastly, they worked as a Linguistics Researcher at Tunghai University from July 2015 to April 2016. Sharon'sresponsibilities included conducting research on CFL learners' pragmatic competence and designing a questionnaire for data collection purposes.
Sharon Chang completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Foreign Languages, Literatures, and Linguistics at Tunghai University from 2012 to 2016. Sharon then pursued further education and obtained their Master of Science degree in Computational Linguistics at Indiana University Bloomington from 2019 to 2021. In addition to their degrees, they also earned a certification in Master of Science in Computational Linguistics from Indiana University Bloomington in May 2021, as well as a certification in "DEV236x: Introduction to Python: Absolute Beginner" from edX in June 2018.
