Subsequently, Mittra joined Simplified Innovative Travel (IATA) as a Manager, overseeing operations for the USA and India. Sumon developed tour and hotel portals, sourced suppliers, and serviced corporate and leisure customers. Mittra later joined Carlson Wagonlit Travel as the Head of Account Management for South India.
