Rozelle Buchanan has a diverse range of work experience in the hospitality industry. Rozelle began their career as a Receptionist at Hilton Hotels Worldwide in 2003, where they also performed Housekeeping and administrative duties. Rozelle then joined Carnival UK in 2005, covering various roles including Housekeeper, Receptionist, and Chief Concierge. Rozelle later transitioned to roles such as Manifest Officer/Administration Manager, Crew Purser/Crew Services Manager, and Senior Finance Manager. In 2015, they worked as an Assistant Hotel Manager/Hotel Manager at Grand Circle Corporation. From 2017 to 2022, they served as a Rlf. Chief Accountant/Rlf. Crew Officer at The World Residences at Sea. In 2021, they became the Chief Accountant at The World. Currently, they own the business Nguni Lodge @ Kuleni Private Game Park.

Rozelle Buchanan's education history began in 1995 when they attended Bechet Secondary School and CEED Business College. They obtained their high school degree with a focus on Matric in 2000. Afterward, from 2000 to 2001, Rozelle attended Working World Business College and earned a Diploma of Excellence in Tourism and Travel Services Management.

In addition to their formal education, Rozelle has obtained several certifications. In 2011, they obtained a certification in Proviciency in Survival Craft and Rescue Boats from Carnival Corporation & PLC. In 2014, they received a Security Awareness certification from the Maritime and Coastguard Agency. In 2017, they completed training in Crisis Management and Human Behaviour from ISPS Africa - International Ship and Port Facility Security Training. In 2019, Rozelle obtained certifications in Elementary First Aid, Fire Prevention and Fire Fighting, Personal Safety and Social Responsibility, and Personal Survival Techniques from the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA). Most recently, in July 2021, they obtained a Crowd Management certification from the Bahamas Maritime Authority.
