Danny Lough serves as the Director of Conservation Education and Engagement at The Wilds since April 2023. Prior experience includes roles as a 4-H Extension Agent at North Carolina State University, where responsibilities involved creating educational programs and managing community partnerships from March 2020 to April 2023. Prior to that, Danny held teaching positions at Forsyth Country Day School, instructing various science subjects from August 2017 to March 2020, and worked as a Teaching Assistant at Wake Forest University, focusing on physiology and anatomy from August 2015 to June 2017. Danny also contributed to conservation efforts as a board member for the Tampa Bay Conservation Society and as an Education Instructor at Tampa's Lowry Park Zoo, managing K-8 students and communicating conservation principles. Danny obtained a Master’s Degree in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from Wake Forest University and a Bachelor's Degree in Integrative Biology from the University of South Florida.
