Liza Acevedo has a diverse range of work experience in various communications and press roles. Liza most recently served as the Director of Communications to the Second Gentleman at The White House. Prior to that, they worked at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security as the Deputy Press Secretary. Liza has also held positions at SKDK as a Director, and at the Biden-Harris Presidential Transition as a Volunteer Staff member. Liza has experience working on political campaigns, having served as the Press Secretary & Deputy National Press Secretary for Julián Castro for President and as a spokesperson and strategic communications adviser for the Speaker of the New Jersey General Assembly. Liza has also worked in the public sector as a Deputy Press Secretary for the State of New Jersey and as the Director of Communications for the New York State Senate. Liza began their career as a Technical Sourcing Intern for Hillary for America and later worked as a Budgeting and Planning Assistant at the Wheaton College Budget Office. Overall, Liza Acevedo has accumulated extensive experience in communication and press-related roles in both the public and private sectors.
