Keith Tatum has extensive work experience in the field of network engineering and security. Keith started their career at Gtech as a Communications Supervisor, where they managed the local and wide area networks and a team of technicians. Keith then worked at CheckFree Corporation as a Senior Network Engineer, where they designed and built networks for a new datacenter and implemented disaster recovery strategies.
After that, Tatum joined Alere Health as a Network Architect, where they upgraded network hardware, implemented a VOIP solution, and built a redundant MPLS network. Keith later became the Data Networking Manager, overseeing a team of engineers and managing networking projects.
Tatum then moved to Liaison Technologies as a Senior Network Engineer, responsible for network and security platforms, VPN tunnels, and WAN connectivity.
Currently, Tatum is working at The Weather Channel as a Security Architect, leading the network security program and implementing cloud security in GCP. Keith is also responsible for building a certificate management platform and a nationwide MPLS network.
Overall, Tatum's experience includes network design and troubleshooting, firewall and load balancer configurations, project design and implementation, and network monitoring and security configurations. Keith has also worked with various technologies such as Cisco switches and routers, F5 load balancers, and Avaya hardware for VOIP solutions.
Keith Tatum pursued higher education by completing their Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology at Southern Polytechnic State University from 2007 to 2012. Keith went on to further enhance their knowledge and skills in the field of cybersecurity by pursuing a Masters in Cybersecurity at Kennesaw State University from 2022 to 2023.
