Ramon Van de Velde is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in leadership roles across various sectors. Currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer at The Wave Project since March 2024, Ramon is dedicated to addressing social, emotional, and mental health challenges for children in the UK through surf therapy initiatives. Previously, Ramon held the position of Managing Director at The Lost Gardens of Heligan from November 2020 to December 2023, where strategic management during the pandemic ensured the organization's recovery. Other notable roles include Operations Director at Smit Associates and the Shipwreck Treasure Museum, Chief Executive Officer at St Aubyn Estates, and Head of Visitor Services at the Eden Project. Ramon holds multiple advanced degrees, including a Master’s in Human Resources Management from the University of Plymouth and a Master’s in Health Policy and Management from Erasmus University Rotterdam.
