Stephen Tan is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in environmental litigation and organizational consulting. Currently a Partner at Cascadia Law Group PLLC since 2000, Stephen provides counsel to Fortune 500 companies, local businesses, municipalities, and nonprofit groups regarding environmental disputes and insurance coverage issues. Additionally, since 2019, Stephen has served as a Senior Associate at The Valtas Group, where expertise in organizational development, strategic planning, and diversity initiatives is applied to assist nonprofit leaders. Previous experience includes serving as Adjunct Faculty in the Environmental Law and Regulation Certificate Program at the University of Washington and as a Lieutenant in the United States Navy, where commendable service included legal counsel for servicemen. Stephen holds a J.D. from the University of Colorado and a B.A. in Biology/Environmental Science from the University of Virginia.
