Monica Kane, MA OSR, currently serves as Assistant Controller at The University of Texas System since September 2022. Prior to this role, Monica held positions at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, including Associate Provost for Finance and Administration and Assistant Provost for Finance and Administration from October 2020 to September 2022. Monica's extensive experience at the University of Alaska Anchorage from October 1996 to October 2020 included several leadership roles, such as Interim Director of Business Services, Chief of Staff and Contract Administrator, and Assistant Provost, alongside various administrative positions. Monica holds a Master of Arts in Organizational Systems Renewal from Seattle University, is certified in Strategic Planning and Budgeting from WACUBO at UC Santa Barbara, and has completed Leadership Anchorage through the Alaska Humanities Forum. Additionally, Monica earned a Bachelor of Education in Secondary English and Physical Education from the University of Victoria and a Certificate in Recreation Leadership from Camosun College.
