Alyssa Necaise-Shaw

Graduate Research Assistant at The University of Southern Mississippi

Alyssa Necaise-Shaw is an accomplished individual with extensive experience in polymer and plastics engineering. Currently serving as a Technical Engineering Intern at Heritage Plastics, Alyssa collaborates closely with the engineering team on quality assurance, new product development, and customer support testing. Alyssa's involvement with NASA includes roles as Deputy Project Manager and Chemical Engineering Lead for a lunar resource utilization project, and as Deputy Project Manager and Materials Science Lead for a proposal that ranked among the top submissions nationally. Additionally, Alyssa has a background in research, culminating in an undergraduate thesis on nanocomposites, as well as experience in various supportive roles, including tutoring and data management. Education includes a Doctor of Philosophy in Polymer/Plastics Engineering currently in progress at The University of Southern Mississippi, with previous degrees in the same field.
